Reforming with Adminbase
Add a business - add Adminbase! This is precisely what Alexandra Conservatories of Somerset did when the company acquired Hutton Conservatory and Window Centre, and the rewards are proving legion. As part of its expansion programme, Alexandra took over ownership of Hutton last January and one of the first tasks was to install the Adminbase management system from Ab Initio to integrate and consolidate all the new company's information into Alexandra's administration department.
‘Although Hutton is now part of our company, we keep some of the administration separate, such as mailshots, contracts and letters,’ explains Kim Eyres, Finance and Administration Manager. ‘This is where Adminbase has proved invaluable. It allowed us to quickly and easily customise all administration requirements of the new company without any confusion or inaccuracies, as well as creating a separate classification which runs concurrently.’
Adminbase was installed into the Hutton regime and it was a straightforward matter of inputting all data and information to the system. ‘We use virtually every function that the system offers on a daily basis,’ continues Mr Eyres. ‘From lead sourcing, contracts, setting up new reports, diarying to job costings, monitoring and marketing, the system is accessed by everyone who works for both companies. This is the only management system custom built for our industry and nothing else compares!’
Alexandra had no doubts about the ability of the Adminbase system to integrate new data as the company also runs a separate division for flooring, air conditioning and other accessories, Conservatory Additions Ltd, which also underwent the Adminbase treatment when it was acquired.
